Increasing numbers of houses are being sold to the second home/holiday market thereby denying their use by current and future generations as permanent homes. Too many villages throughout the Highlands and elsewhere are being taken over by the second home market resulting in the "death" of the local communities (loss of schools/doctors/public transport).
