I’ve been tweeting Jimmy Page about this for three years to no result, but now the house is being rebuild and it’s fantastic. The real issue in the community is tourists pass through so we get the traffic on the roads without the benefit of the impact on the local economy. Nature trails, tours at Boleskine House, creating more tourist attractions in lower foyers etc will all add to the tourist’s experience which will both support the local shop as a sustainable enterprise and business and will allow other businesses to flourish. We need a refreshed approach to tourism and to tap into the people already visiting to get them to stay longer and to spend money as this creates jobs. The Boleskine project and the millions going into this is a great start and can really help as a first step toward some proper things for tourists to do.
