Someone has suggested the trust directors should be paid. I do not think they should. Many community groups operate with volunteers and they are all unpaid. The trust should register as a Scottish charity, should undergo regulation and should be transparent with its finances. The trust should maintain a conflict of interest policy and a register of conflicts which is publicly accessible If the trust were a charity it would also open up the availability of projects receiving public funding.
